These items are from our groups' monthly challenges. We are given certain colours, sketches and materials we have to use to make something. Hope you enjoy. Next step is working out how to put them in my Album!

Well, we're back home again after a wonderful 4 weeks in the USA. We started off at Los Angeles and drove 3 hours to a town in the middle of the Mojhave Desert called Ridgecrest where our son, his wife Debbie and family are living. Darren is in the RAAF and has been working over there for 4 years. They come back the Newcastle next January which is exciting. Hope to be able to spend some time with the Grand children. we had a lovely time catching up with them and playing Granny and Grandpa to Allie and Jake.
Spent a week with them before driving to Las Vegas (just for an afternoon of Outlet shopping and the night) and then flew to Denver. Caught up with Hubby's brother and partner and drove to a place called Estes Park which is at the Eastern entry to the Rocky Mountain National Park. Met up with 9 friends and we spent 2 days having a great time wandering around the park and town. even went horse riding in the snow! Great fun for us who haven't ridden before but it was SO cold. Very pretty place. Very cold and had some snow. (so much snow that we couldn't drive through the park to our next destination!) Instead of a leisurely 2 hour drive (plus time out for sight seeing and hiking) we had to drive nearly back to Denver and around the park and up to the Western entry to the Park - 4-5 hours because we went through some pretty heavy snow. This stop was called Grand Lake and again very pretty. Spent the time with our American friends just chilling out, walking and having lots of fun and much laughter.
After 2 nights there we headed to Aspen (our favourite place in the world). Met lots of old friends there and spent a week having a fabulous time. (We've been lucky enough to go there for the last 3 years and made some great friends). Many late nights, lots of talking and laughter and oh, so much fun. Very sad to say goodbye again.
Drove back to Denver and flew onto Washington DC. Spent 2 days in the city and a day at Gettysburg where one of the greatest battles of the American Civil War was fought. It was absolutely fantastic. They do things so well over there. We had a guided tour around the battlefield and town and spent the whole day wandering around. I'll attach some photos of these places.
Next day weather turned nasty. Drove through Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Virginia to a place called Harper's Ferry which would have been lovely, but the rain stopped us seeing anything much.
Kept driving to Richmond Virginia and met up with some friends from Aspen who showed us around their home town of Newport News on the banks of Chesapeake Bay. We hadn't been to the eastern side of the US before and the country, etc is lovely. Totally different to the Rockies but still gorgeous.
On through Virginia, North Carolina where we met up with another friend then South Carolina to Charleston. Absolutely gorgeous place and oh, so old. So muc original stuff is still there. Lots of photos from there. Went to a Plantation House and tour which was good and walked and walked the streets of the city. Made us realise we were at the Pacific Ocean coast 3 weeks ago and then the coast of the Atlantic at Charleston. Loved Charleston. Very 'Gone with the Wind' and Civil War stuff. I was in my element.....not quite so sure about Ray though.
Onto to Augusta in Georgia which was just an ordinary city and our last stop Atlanta ready to fly back to Los Angeles and meet up with the family again for our last weekend. Spent 1 day US Outlet shopping and the last day at Disneyland Californian Adventure Park. So much fun. Sad to leave and come home.
Now that we are back, seems like we have never been away. All things going on as usual.
Stampin' Up has been very busy while I was away. Our Spring Mini catalogue was in full swing - see side bar and we're now getting ready for our brand new Summer Mini catalogue which starts 1st December. If you want anything from the Spring catalogue please dont hesitate to contact me because that finishes on 30th November and we won't be able to get anything in it again. Personally, I think that's been one of the best Mini catalogues Stampin' Up have released. I think I bought everything in it!
We've also got our big Sale-A-Bration catalogue and sale starting 25th January - 31st March next year. That's the BEST time for Stampin' Up. It means that for every $100 that a customer spends, the customer receives a free stamp from this catalogue, for every $600 workshop a hostess receives and extra free stamp along with her Sale-A-Bration stamps and if anyone decides to become a Demonstrator during this time, they receive any stamp to the value of $79.95 free in addition to all the other free offers. Always a very exciting time for Demonstrators and Customers alike.
If anyone has any questions about anything to do with stampin' Up catalogues and sales and anything in general, please don't hesitate to contact me, either via this site or email dunkfamily@bigpond.com or phone 0438 022 124. I will be only too willing to help you out. I have supplies of catalogues available here if anyone is interested, You just need to let me know. Main 2009-2010 catalogue is $12.95 and that runs through til September 2010. The minis are free and I would be only too happy to forward one to you if you would like one.
Another big special running at the moment is our Christmas special (see side bar). If you purchase $85 worth of goodies from this page, you receive the choice of the Square Scallop punch or the Boho Blossoms punch absolutely FREE. Remember though this special only runs until Dec 14th and all orders have to be placed prior to this date.
I'll (try) and post some photos of our trip now and also get some card and scrapbooking photos up for you to see.
It's Christmas time and a wonderful time to think of friends and family who might enjoy their craft. Stampin' Up offers such a wonderful variety of product which would perfect Christmas presents at very reasonable prices. We have so much to offer. You can order straight from the catalogue or you may like to become a hostess yourself and earn the free goodies they offer as well as have a fun, crafty night with your friends. I also run regular classes from my home and you are welcome to attend any time. I have done them as a single class or in groups up to approximately 10-12 people. Again, please don't hesitate to contact me if you are interested.
That's all for now.
Take care everyone, and I'm glad to be back so I can once again share my enjoyment of craft using Stampin' Up with you.

Hi everyone. About time I said Hi again. We've been with our son and family in sunny, hot California for 3 days now and it's wonderful. 2 Grandchildren here we've only seen 4 times in 4 years, so it's good. Having lots of fun and doing lots of shopping. Can't get over how cheap stuff is here.
I feel so bad because I haven't got any cards to post but I promise I'll show lots when I get home again.
We leave here on Thursday morning and head for Las Vegas for a night and day of shopping at the outlets and then fly to Denver before heading off to the Rocky Mountain National Park for 4 days with 9 friends. It should be fantastic. Then we head to Aspen for 5 days before flying to Washington DC for 4 and then wandering down to Atlanta over 8 days before flying back to Los Angeles and home. Time is already going so quickly I'm sure we'll be home again before we know it!
The amount of craft stuff over here is amazing! And prices really good - BUT you have to have room in your luggage to bring it home and I wanted clothes mainly so I have to be really careful unfortunately. Never mind, anything is better than nothing at all.
Well, just wanted to keep in touch and remind you that the September special of 2 free rolls of ribbon (So Saffron and Certainly Celery) runs only until the end of September only, so....if you want something for free, you need to place an order of just $100. To contact me, just email me at dunkfamily@bigpond.com or dunkfamily@live.com.au and I will be delighted to help you.
Speak to you soon.

I know it's been a few days since I last wrote but it's been just one of those weeks. I've been making plenty of cards though. My husband and I are going away for a month at the end of September, and I want at least 1 card/box/bag example of every stamp I have. Been having fun (because I keep buying more stamps!) This is really easy to do especially when Stampin' Up have such great specials. Do you know you can get 2 whole rolls of Certainly Celery and So Saffron 5/8" ribbon for FREE if you place and order of $100 or more.
I haven't worked out how to download the catalogues yet, but if anyone is interested in a yearly catalogue at $12.95 or a Mini Catalogue please don't hesitate to contact me and I'll forward you a copy asap.
For those of you who are not familiar with Stampin' Up our main catalogue runs until September 2010 and this current mini until the end of October. I have bought everything in this mini - there are some fantastic stamps in it. I'm home from work on Wednesday, so hopefully I can download some examples.
Remember, if anyone is interested I hold fun workshops in your own home for 1 or more people and I hold regular classes in my home (or yours if you would like). Stamping is only limited by your imagination....cards, scrapbooking. It really is so much fun and I would love to share it with you.
For the moment, until hopefully Wednesday, take care and I'll speak again soon.

Hi all,
I still haven't posted any more examples of our wonderful Stampin' Up products.
I want to explain the photo on my home page. It's the main street in Aspen, Colorado. We have a son living in California (til Dec when they come home) and have been lucky enough to visit Aspen for the last 3 years. To us, it's the best pace on earth. Many, many pleasant memories and great friends who we will meet again in a month's time.
This next photo is of our 3 Grandchildren. Allie is 5, Jake 3 and Angus 2. Allie and Jake live in the USA and we have only seen them 4 times in 4 years, but Angus is in Melbourne and a delight. I can't wait to do the Granny and Grandpa thing of babysitting the 3 of them together! They LOVE our place with the animals and areas to run and play. It was taken in February when they came home from the US for a holiday and it's the very first time the 3 cousins have been together. Unfortunately they only stayed with us a few days as we had bushfires all around and had to evacuate. They wisely moved on to other family members in NSW as soon as they were able to get through. Looking forward SO much to seeing them again,
Take care, and speak again soon,
Di
